So, you’ve done the whole dinner for two thing. There’s been a movie and she didn’t even pull away when you reached for her hand in public. Yet the burning question to whether she’s ready to getting dirty still lingers and nags at you.

You’ve been a proper gentleman and refrained from mentioning the s-word (sleep, sex, shag, screw…. you get my drift) outright because you don’t want to seem over-eager to dance the horizontal tango (although you are), but also because in the 21st century, who knows if you’ll be slapped with a sexual harassment lawsuit.

So is there any way to tell is she’s ready to, in the words of Beyonce, get bodied? Of course there is.

1. Body Contact.

You’ve held hands. Great, that’s what we were taught to do since kindergarden. Oh, and in case you didn’t you know, in some African countries, holding hands constitutes marriage. History lesson of the day.

Well, now that she’s comfortable being mano a mano, try moving your palm elsewhere.

Nowhere delicate yet. Grazing her shoulder? The small of her back? Snaking your arm around her waist? Watch her reaction as you slowly progress towards more intimate areas; if she doesn’t flinch, then find somewhere private.

2. Broach the Subject

Gently insert the topic into your conversation. Try not to be too blatant. Use movies, books or nearby couples as talking points. Up the descriptive quality of the topic as you progress – ‘You like massages too? I give great massages’. Better yet, if she broaches the topic, then you know you’re in business.

3. Eye contact

A sure sign that a lady is interested to ‘get to know you better’ is when she has her eyes on your all the time. Especially if she averts your gaze when you look back into her eyes. Now try a wink. Did she smile? Good. Did she wink back?
